Food for thought
Went for a haircut at chp 2 since we had discount vouchers and since we were in the area, we went to Food for Thought. Its located in some obscure location opposite the National Library. Honestly, was quite disappointed overall especially since we had high expectations of it (sm u made it sound so good!) Tried the Basil pesto Chicken Sandwich with Shitake Mushroom soup and Roast Beef Salad(smth like tt). really reminded me of the food we had at PS Cafe the other time. so healthy and full of herbs. Portions were too small for my liking and i was craving for MEAT today! so it was not very filling. If you look at the price alone, its quite inexpensive but when i weigh it against the portions, hmm not very worth it. no gst/ service charge though. up to you to decide.
Its a rather tiny place and customers can get "trapped" while entering/ exiting. and seats are rather limited unless you dont mind sitting at the counter. BUT, if the cafe was slightly more empty and you manage to get a seat further in the place, it can be a nice place for catching up and sorts. The staff there were rather friendly and said hi/bye to OTHER customers. no one said bye to us :( Didnt try any dessert. maybe next time? haha
The address is Purvis Street but its not the part where Ms Clarity Cafe, Soup Restaurant etc and the bulk of the other cafes/restaurants can be found. just cross the road from nlb and there you have it. If you pass by MayBank, you've definitely gone too far.
